Day two of 12 days of Disney Parks Christmas reveals some details of the changes coming to Caribbean Beach Resort set to be revealed in late summer 2018.

The main entryway for the resort will be at Old Port Royale as opposed to the Customs House as it was in the past. This area will still be home to dining locations, a new lounge and bar, and shopping.

Shutters, the table-service restaurant serving Caribbean-inspired cuisine, will soon have waterfront dining featuring floral designs throughout as well as large shutters—imagine that—which can be opened to let in natural light.

Centertown Market will still feature a variety of quick-service food options as well as grab and go items. Lots of wood, awnings and other details can be seen in the concept art giving the area a very inviting aesthetic.

A new poolside bar and lounge is being added called Banana Cabana. It’s hard not to like a place with a rhyming name. It will feature cabana-style drapes as well as repurposed steel drums as lighting and a big communal table made from a wooden boat.

And of course there will still be a place to shop, Calypso Trading Post.

Are you excited about these changes to this sprawling resort? Hopefully better and more frequent transportation is also planned for the resort, but we might have to wait for the new gondola system for that.
