In a move to show they’re committed to staging their popular Halloween Horror Nights event next year, Universal has announced the first house for next year’s Halloween Horror Nights event in Orlando.

Universal released a behind the scenes video for the house Puppet Theatre: Captive Audience featuring Universal Orlando’s Senior Director of Creative Development Mike Aiello and Senior Show Director Charles Gray as well as horror legend Greg Nicotero, best known for his work on the Walking Dead shows and tons of other films and televisions shows going back to 1985’s Day of the Dead. Watch the video below.

Here’s hoping we’ll be well-established in whatever our new normal is going to look like by next fall so we can all get back to the parks to scream and laugh our heads off. Hopefully there will be more of these videos to come as well. I know I certainly could use something to look forward to next year.

The canceled 2020 Halloween Horror Nights event was slated to be a big 25th anniversary celebration for the event which started out as Fright Nights in 1991. There will be much to celebrate next fall if the event is able to be safely staged.
