The Weeknd’s ‘After Hours Nightmare’ coming to Halloween Horror Nights

Halloween Horror Nights kicks off in less than six weeks in Orlando (and just over six weeks in Hollywood) and house announcements have been slow coming this year. Universal Monsters: Legends Collide, Halloween, and the Horrors of Blumhouse featuring the films Freaky and The Black Phone had been previously announced, and now the fourth house has finally been confirmed.

It turns out the rumors are true. Pop star The Weeknd will be the focus of a house at both the Florida and California events in 2022. The official house name is The Weeknd: After Hours Nightmare. After Hours is the title of The Weeknd’s 2020 album featuring the hits “Blinding Lights” and “Save Your Tears.” Watch the teaser below featuring the famous bandaged look the star sported in public appearances around the album’s release as well as the bandaged women from the violet and gory “Too Late” music video.

This has the potential to be a fun yet terrifying house. It’s a bummer the Billie Eilish house rumored to have been part of the 2020 event, which was canceled, never saw the light of day because that could’ve been quite fun as well.

The announcement of The Weeknd’s house brings the total up to four, leaving at least six more announcements for Orlando and at least four more plus the Terror Tram theme for Hollywood. Also, none of the scare zone themes have been announced. Here’s hoping the announcements come quicker in the coming days/weeks.

Halloween Horror Nights 2022 kicks off on September 2 in Orlando and on September 8 in Hollywood. Tickets are on sale now. Both events run through Halloween, October 31.
