The long-rumored and teased Marvel-themed land at Disney California Adventure is finally going to become a reality.

Disney and Marvel announced today that a superhero-themed area, anchored by Guardians of the Galaxy — Mission: BREAKOUT! will open in 2020. It’s Tough to Be a Bug closed for good yesterday, March 19, and the rest of A Bug’s Land will follow the 4D film into yesterland in late summer. The Guardians will be joined in this new land by Spider-Man and the Avengers in what Disney is calling “a completely immersive Super Hero universe.”

While the announcement seems to purposefully lack details, it sounds as though at least one new attraction will open in 2020 in the space occupied by It’s Tough to Be a Bug, followed by more attractions at a later date. The poster with the announcement features Spider-Man, Doctor Strange, Black Panther and the Guardians of the Galaxy.

Are you dying to know more about what this land will bring? I know we are. Hey, but at least they finally confirmed it’s happening, giving us Marvel nuts something to look forward to in the years ahead.
